Rock of Ages is an upcoming 2012 film adaptation of the 2006 Chris D'Arienzo Comedy rock/jukebox Broadway musical of the same name. Originally scheduled to enter production in the Summer of 2010 for a 2011 release, it is now under production since May 2011 and is scheduled for a June 1, 2012 release. It stars country singer Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta with an ensemble cast including Russell Brand, Tom Cruise, Kevin Nash, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti, Malin Åkerman, and Mary J. Blige. The film will feature the music of Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, and Twisted Sister.
Description:
The film follows waitress Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) and busboy Drew Boley (Diego Boneta) who fall in love during the rock music era of the 1980s.
